I'm a Master's student at the Institute of Medical Science at University of Toronto. I'm passionate about increasing our scientific knowledge of women's health issues and better understanding the underlying neuroendocrine mechanisms of neurological disorders, like depression, that affect women at much higher rates than men. At the Galea lab, I am studying sex differences in negative cognitive bias, a key, and often treatment-resistant, symptom of Major Depressive Disorder.

I graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2020, with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Writing Seminars. My undergraduate research focused on patients with Multiple Sclerosis and Depression, to study the role of neuroinflammation in depression. After graduation, I worked as a research coordinator at Johns Hopkins Hospital's esketamine clinic for Treatment-resistant Depression. From 2021-2023, I served as a research technologist in Dr. Pavan Bhargava's lab at JHH, where I conducted preclinical research to find novel therapeutics for Multiple Sclerosis.

Outside lab, I love to write and speed run through artistic hobbies (currently, it's pottery). Catch me "urban hiking" in Toronto every weekend!
