I am a Ph.D. student in the Galea Lab at The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. Prior to joining the Galea lab, I completed my BSc and MSc at Brock University in 2022 and 2024 respectively. My previous research focused on sex differences present in Alzheimer’s disease pathology, progression, and prevention. Females represent two thirds of Alzheimer’s disease cases with the primary hypothesis behind this sex difference being the menopausal transition. I hope to continue my research investigating this prominent sex difference through different scientific lenses such as those of neuroinflammation, neuroplasticity and whole-body metabolism.
